Nearly seven months after ‘Barbie’ actor Simu Liu got engaged to Allison Hsu, he shared how Taylor Swift helped him complete the final part of his epic proposal in Paris. “My fiancée is a Swiftie,” Simu, 36, explained on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ Dec. 15. “Taylor Swift’s music was a big part of the beginning of our relationship, [because I] was getting to know her through those songs and why they meant so much to her. So I was like, ‘Well, there’s one person that would make this engagement so special.’”
The Marvel star reached out to Taylor’s publicist, Tree Paine, and asked if she could “make a two-second video” for his fiancée. Two days later, he received a brief clip of Taylor, 36, congratulating Allison on the start of this new chapter in her and Simu’s romance.
