Gemma Chan detailed her hopes for the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ sequel during an exclusive E! News interview at ‘The Five Star Weekend’ Los Angeles premiere July 8. “There’s so much to live up to, and it’s been a while now, so everything has to be as good as, if not bettering,” Chan admitted. “I’m hopeful that things are going to align.” While the actress said she doesn’t have any major updates to share, she revealed she’d love to see what happens next for her character, Astrid, especially her relationship with Charlie (Harry Shum Jr.).
