Two days after ‘When Harry Met Sally’ director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were found murdered in their Los Angeles home Dec. 14, Billy Crystal and more of the couple’s close friends came together to release a joint tribute. Along with the actor, the Dec. 16 message was signed by more than a dozen figures from the film community, including Martin Short, Larry David, Albert Brooks and Billy’s wife Janice Crystal. “Absorbing all he had learned from his father Carl [Reiner] and his mentor Norman Lear, Rob Reiner not only was a great comic actor, he became a master story teller,” the letter stated. “There is no other director who has his range.
